  • Buildings

  • We will cover against fire, theft, storm and flood. Cover includes the structure of your home and walls, gates, fences, hedges and footpaths, outbuildings such as garages and sheds, permanent fixtures including kitchen units and bathroom cabinets, subsidence, heave, landslip and flood, plus a free 24 hour emergency helpline.

    Cover start date

    Contents Cover

Your contents will be covered on a 'NEW for OLD' basis, so you will need to enter the total replacement cost for all your contents as if they were new.

If you are not sure how much cover you will need, imagine 'turning your home upside down'. Everything that falls out, which you own or are legally responsible for, will need to be covered under contents cover. Add up the cost of replacing these items as new (including carpets but allowing for the depreciation in value of clothing due to wear and tear) and this is how much cover you will need.

    Note:
If you are planning to specify a valuable item which you take out of the home, you do not need to include it in with your contents cover.
Please see "Additional Cover Options Available" below.
